I’ve come to you in hopes of finding help. I’m currently in the long term segregation Unit in Eldorado KS.. It is my hope and prayer to find someone to correspond with. I long for words, truth and honesty. In a world of hate, fear and violence, I wish for open conversation, honest opinions of the world of today- to share thoughts, dreams and life’s realities.

I suggest you check with me at swansol@mwt.net if you choose to write any of the prisoners listed before 2012. This is where FFUP started 12 years ago and the blog got so big and the links so complicated and time consuming that I basically abandoned it and started new penpal blogs by category .

Who We Are

FFUP (Forum for Understanding Prisons) is a a small and dedicated group of prisoner supporters. We write and visit prisoners, advocate for them and work with their families. While attempting to help these men and women survive their incarceration ordeal, we also work on the larger issues to help bring about a justice system built on respect for all and belief in healing.

Here in this blog , we are trying to put a human face on our prisoners.
