I enjoy writing, drawing, reading and open dialogue. I'm looking for a person who's looking to the horizon's edge and wants to enjoy someone's company along the way, to see, experience, explore and share it all with.
I can be fairly intense, provocative, and have an eye for detail. I think the greatest discoveries to be made about anyone or anything are found through the smallest details...and it's discovering those details that I enjoy.
I'm open, painfully honest and ask for nothing more or less in return. My realm is outside the box...as I want my thoughts to be as free from captivity as my spirit.
All I can offer is an open mind and my perspective. If you're interested in that...I'm a letter away.

I suggest you check with me at swansol@mwt.net if you choose to write any of the prisoners listed before 2012. This is where FFUP started 12 years ago and the blog got so big and the links so complicated and time consuming that I basically abandoned it and started new penpal blogs by category .

Who We Are

FFUP (Forum for Understanding Prisons) is a a small and dedicated group of prisoner supporters. We write and visit prisoners, advocate for them and work with their families. While attempting to help these men and women survive their incarceration ordeal, we also work on the larger issues to help bring about a justice system built on respect for all and belief in healing.

Here in this blog , we are trying to put a human face on our prisoners.
